Today I went to a copy shop to xerox an Art in America article that had my work in it. The counterperson asked if the material was copyrightable. I said yes. They told me they couldn't Xerox it because it was against the law. Talk about property rights. Someone writes about my works and gets paid for it and I can't even use a copy for a CV. Seems to me Big Brother is more than a little scared or greedy or power mad to clamp down on Mom & Pop copy shops.
