BACKGROUND"Delusions of Dialogue: Control and Choice in Interactive Art"Jim Campbell's installations use live imagery and computer memory to create environments in which the viewer's response becomes an essential element of the work. Campbell will examine various interfaces used in interactive art--where "interactivity" is defined broadly as a dynamic spectrum with responsive systems on one end and controllable systems on the other--and invite speculation on issues of objectivity and subjectivity present in electronic art.
